MUSIC TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
IN-TENT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR JAPAN

I wish I Didn't Love You

Birmingham Yamaha Music Point students and teachers are preparing to perform a special Summer Concert to raise funds for the Japan Earth Quake Relief charity at The Priory School, Edgbaston on Saturday 25th June.

The evening concert from 7 – 9pm promises a do-not-miss opportunity for music lovers to experience a wealth of musical talent and some inspiring performances by Birmingham’s best professional and brightest young musicians.

The unique concert at The Priory School will take place inside a luxury marquee featuring chandeliers, carpet and a large stage with the audience treated to a mouth watering array of music and refreshments including a BBQ and large selection of wines, beer & soft drinks.

Gary Seeney, Head of the Yamaha Music Point, located in Birmingham’s jewellery quarter told us, “We were delighted to be invited for the fourth successive year to perform a concert at the school’s annual Summer Fayre and saw this as the perfect opportunity to raise funds for this most worthy cause that has touched the hearts of many of our students and teachers who feel an affiliation with Japan, being part of the global Yamaha family.
I hope as many people as possible will come along to offer support and enjoy what will be a wonderful evening of entertainment.”

Performing as a special musical guest to give the ‘cutting edge’ on the night will be Birmingham’s ‘Lady Samurai’ – Fay Goodman, not only a European Gold Medallist in the ancient art of Samurai, but also highly respected in Japan as an author, poet and composer. Fay’s band Space Odic Samurai will also perform three songs from their live repertoire including ‘My Heart is in Japan’ of which all itunes sales has been donated to the Save the Children Japan Relief Fund (www.spaceodicsamurai.com) Ticket & Event Details: Concert: 7-9 pm – The Priory School – Summer Fayre Marquee, 39 Sir Harrys Road Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2UR Tickets Prices: £3

I wish I Didn't Love You

I wish I Didn't Love You

“I Wish I Didn’t Love You” is a haunting, powerful single straight from the heart of Space Odic Samurai’s recently released album “The Eye”. Echoes of Kirsty McColl’s tropical rhythms, Fay Goodman purrs her way through the reasons for needing to leave a lover behind in this fabulous new release “I Wish I Didn’t Love You”. While this love story leaves us in no doubt to the pain of decision we are entranced by Fay’s seductive tones as her voice becomes more soulful, touching and emotional.
